<Update till Aug 2019>
Hi! Starting from Fall'16, I am a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at University of Rochester. Advised by M Ehsan Hoque, I work in the ROCHCI group in the area of Human Computer Interaction.
I work on improving group discussions by analyzing people's behavior and emotion. I am interested in developing technological solutions to identify conflicts or imbalance in group interactions, and keeping a conversation positive and respectful by using machine mediation. I build videoconferencing platforms incorporated with feedback in different ways (real-time, post-session feedack) in different forms (visualization using charts and chatbots) on different features (facial emotion, voice projection, context relevance, and so many more) for different discussion types (consensus based, political agenda, etc.).
Recently (May 7, 2018) I have received MS in CS from UofR, with the topic "Automated Machine Mediation in Video Conferencing based Group Disucssions". My undergrad is from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). I am passionately involved in outreach and services for social and academic communities both in Bangladesh and USA.
